Julie Sonier is President of MN Community Measurement, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to improving health by publicly reporting health care information. As the primary trusted source of health care measurement, data sharing and public reporting in Minnesota for more than a decade, MNCM works with health plans, providers, employers, consumers, and state agencies to spur quality improvement, reduce health care costs and maximize value. Ms. Sonier joined MNCM in 2017 with 20 years of experience in health care policy and reforms to improve health care cost, quality, and access. Most recently, she directed Minnesota’s State Employee Group Insurance Program, the largest employer purchaser of health care in Minnesota. She also has previously served as Minnesota’s state health economist and has worked with states across the nation on developing and implementing health care reforms to improve health care access, cost, and quality. Ms. Sonier holds a masters degree in public affairs from Princeton University, and a bachelors degree in economics from Amherst College.
